Sissy boy!
Yeah that’s right!
Generally, people continually lie to themselves about almost everything. Most prominent however is their own potential. “I can do/could have done…” this, that or whatnot, only to fail or not do it and blame it on something lame like bad luck, not being worth it or other such things.
An example. Let’s say you meet an evil, no good, mean, ugly lookin’, smelly, gross, generally bad troublemaker, punk, or otherwise not your kind of person, in town. You’re there to have a good time, whatever it is you do when you go out, and the guy starts hassling you. Yeah yeah, you don’t ever get pissed, but let’s say he finds your secret anger button and gets you in the red. Why don’t you set him straight, kick him in the groin and teach him a thing or two about pain?
-Because violence doesn’t solve anything? FOOL! You know it solves plenty.
-Because we should all be able to get along? Whatever, that fact is we don’t.
-Because he isn’t worth it? Oh, and you don’t do anything that doesn’t pay off in full?
Yeah right, nobody is perfect bud.
-Because you might get arrested?
Bah, odds are the cops already know the bloke and won’t even bother with the paper work.
Nah, something like 9 out of 10 won’t do crap because they’re either scared shitless or they’re having all kinds of “what if…” thoughts. Then when the situation passed and the guy finds someone else to pick on, it’s all I could have taken him but didn’t wanna spoil a good evening or some other crap like that. Before you know it, you will have lied enough to yourself to repair your damaged ego, and who knows maybe soon you’ll be lying to your friends too on how well you handled the situation, but that is beside the point.
This phenomenon isn’t limited to just violence but expands through all aspects of your life. Your career, social, private, and love life, all of it. It can even develop into a psychological state such as phobia, schizophrenia or a severe case of narcissism.
Face it, sissy boy.
