"A man who makes himself an ideal, or more specifically an idea, can never truly die. His ideals, his idea, will always live on in the hearts of those who harbor and shelter it. A man who does not serve an ideal is a man more broken than a man burdened with all the fear in the world. The man with the ideal can lean on it in times of pain and struggle and use its power to boost his own." ~ Darth Necrom, Lord of the Sith
Agree with the sentiment? Disagree? Was he wrong? Got any personal experience or perspective on this?
Thoughts on whether an individual is better off - or worse - for entertaining, embracing or building them?
Do you have any of your own, or any that you're averse to? Are you aware of their origins?
Are their roots external or internal? Given, accepted, imposed, nurtured from within, forged..?
Where do ideals and ideas fit into your paradigm? Have you thought much about it?

Where do ideals and ideas fit into your paradigm? Have you thought much about it? if I didn't have my personality, my ideals, or more which I can change at any time I'd be aimless. Chains and living chains can die or be reforged in the refining process. I think they are both internal and external based off the cause/effect. In kurai kage we talk about internal influence and external influence. As a chaos witch I make my own rules, nurture my own paradigm, deconstruct it when necessary, and they all have consequences. While I am free to do whatever I like there are consequences both negative or positive. They fit into my paradigm just like a suit of armor would or how I'd dress for a certain job to entertain the world of fashion to do better at my job. yet I do it on my own terms and when it suits me. I'm aware of a lot of things I like or dislike. I have my own judgements and opinions. *shrugs* I'm wild yet reasonable when it suits me. I like the wolfer post you shared....it resonated with me plus I love wolfers. *wags tail and howls* wolves are wise, strong, and capable of many things.
